Artist and Footwear designer Ellen Sampson will a talk about her exhibition "Palimpsest" Palimpsest explores ways that shoes become vessels or records of memory and why the imprint or trace of a body demands that we recollect.
Old cures and remedies - Kate Wills, 29 January
The talk will explore some interesting facts and myths about cures and remedies. You may wish to revise the contents of your first aid box!
Roade Past Present and Future - Steve and Vivian Blyth, 12 February
An illustrated talk on the history of the village Roade, the impact of railway and factory in the past, and the changes and growth now taking place.
Northampton Tramways - Martin Wills, 26 February
Martin will explore the history of Northampton's tramways from the horse bus to the electric tram.
The Painted Garden - Russell Bowes, 12 March
Two lectures in one - a virtual tour through of the major art galleries of the world and a journey through the history of gardening. All the major trends and fashions in the history of gardening are explored through the medium of paintings.
