Thought as I had never been to St Albans it was time I did.Expected to fill one coach but in the end we had to have two.Word is spreading about what a good time we are having.
The day was bright but very cold. After a hot drink we set off around the park and were lucky enough to be offered a peek through a telescope to see a little Eagret on the nest, hopefully chicks will have hatched by now.We visited the Museum which is full of Roman treasures. Then back to the Cathedral cafe for some warming soup and hot drink.
We joined the afternoon tour of the Cathedral which was very interesting and were lucky enough to hear choirs rehearsing for an evening concert which made it even more magical.
All to soon it was time to catch the coach home for a very smooth ride home.
It was interesting to learn that hot cross buns originated here, made by the monks to give susstenance to the poor.
